Children's Activities

Sorry but you have missed our summer activities for children, we will run a similar programme next  year so we have left this year's itinerary on line for you so that you can see the sort of things we did. The activities were very well attended and a great time was had by all. There are no special events for children in September as we think you are all very busy getting ready for school. Enjoy your new class at school and work hard, we will see you soon.

Tuesday 12th - Bee Keeping
Have you ever wondered where honey comes from or how its made? If the answer is yes then have we got a treat for you! A local bee keeper will be on hand to give a talk and demonstration into all things bees!

Wednesday 13th - Line Dancing
Come along to Gordale and experience the thrills of line dancing! There’s a demonstration and opportunity for you to join in!  

Thursday 14th - Hedgehogs
Want to know more about Hedgehogs?  Local hedgehog rescuer John Spicer will be at Gordale to tell you all about these night visitors to your garden.  

Friday 15th - Talons Birds of Prey
Talons Birds of Prey back for a second chance to learn all about these beautiful birds with opportunities to get up close.

Monday 18th - Teddy Bears Picnic
Is your teddy feeling left out? Then bring him or her along with you to listen to stories while enjoying a teddy bears picnic.  

Tuesday 19th - Arts & Crafts
Learn all about the earth. Test soil samples and discover how to make things out of recycled materials!

Thursday 21st - Yoga
Come along to this relaxing demonstration and join in with yoga for kids. For th3 3-7 year olds there is Under the Sea adventures and for 8 year olds and above there will be Jungle Safari. Make sure you book early to avoid disappointment.

Friday 22nd - Talons Birds of Prey
Talons Birds of Prey are back to give you another chance to learn all about these beautiful birds with opportunities to get up close and handle them.

Monday 25th - Bank Holiday
No activities

Tuesday 26th - Rangers
Your second chance to find out all about rangers, what they do and the wildlife that they look after.

Wednesday 27th - Bee Keeping
Your chance to learn all about bees and where honey comes from. Learn why bees are so important and why we should respect them. Talks and demonstrations from local bee keeper John Hebron.

Thursday 28th - Wirral Herpetological
The lizards and snakes are back. Don’t miss this opportunity to come along and see them first hand and learn all about them.

Friday 29th - Talons Birds of Prey
Talons Birds of Prey will be making their final appearance so don't miss your last chance to meet and handle these beautiful creatures. 

All sessions are £3.75 each, start at 10am and last approximately one hour.
