Homemade cakes, tray bakes and biscuits, scones baked fresh every morning are some of the delights that welcome you to the Coffee Shop at Gordale. As soon as you approach the tantalising aromas tempt you into our light, airy coffee shop with wonderful views over our plant area to the gardens beyond. In the warmer months you can sit on our south facing patio and enjoy the sun or take shelter if you prefer.

Our coffee shop is an ideal meeting point for friends and family, for a quick lunch, afternoon tea or to have a break from shopping in our large award winning garden centre.

Quality of food is important to Sally and her team. Where possible our ingredients are sourced from local suppliers which supports local business and also helps cut our carbon footprint. Sandwiches are made fresh daily on speciality bread from our local baker with homemade fillings and if the sandwich of your choice is not available we will gladly make it for you.

Choose from our daily specials, made with meat from local farms and served with potato of the day  and  vegetables, Sally’s famous quiche, jacket potatoes, homemade pies, make your selection of salads from our salad bar and add some delicious oven chips, a much healthier option than deep fried.

Children are not forgotten either with a pick your own lunchbox special, children’s favourites such as beans or scrambled egg on toast and children’s half portions of our daily specials.

Freshly ground coffee, a wide selection of teas, hot chocolate, fruit drinks and waters give a choice for all tastes.

We also serve our famous ice cream which our customers travel miles for, have it in a cornet, in a dish, with a Cadbury’s 99 flake  or add to our luscious cakes for an extra special treat.

Bookings for groups are welcome anytime and Sally can work with you to meet your exact requirements.
