Gordale Goes Green
Gordale is never one to shirk its environmental responsibilities and works hard to offset its carbon footprint by implementing a range of green initiatives.
Every waste item at Gordale is sorted and all paper, cardboard and plastics are collected together and then taken away to be recycled. We also collect all wood and metal which is sent for recycling.
Gordale recycles green waste that is on site, for example after w
e have weeded our extensive landscaped gardens. This is composted off-site.
Gordale offers a free service enabling customers to return used plastic plant pots to be recycled. All Gordale carrier bags and boot liners are fully bio-degragable to help the environment.
Gordale has also recently won the coverted Green City Town an Country Award which reinforces the company's commitment to providing enriched habitats for wildlife, including bees, birds and butterflies within our towns.
So, as you can see, Gordale really does go the extra mile to be green.
