New for 2019, the Golden Sands at Gordale – over 300 square feet of playing area filled with 8 tonnes of golden sand. Located undercover, it’s free to play whatever the weather – so get ready to build the ultimate sand castle!

The Eco Explorer digital nature trail is available all year round, take an adventure around our outdoor area to see if you can find all 10 of the hidden clues… download the app from your App Store. The Eco Explorer team will be in-store for Critter Time on 18th August from 10am until 3pm – FREE drop-in, hands-on nature workshops for younger visitors. Get up close with the life in your garden: meet millipedes, mice and much more besides!

Flock to our pond area to see all our resident birds including the characterful Guinea Fowl.

And whilst your here, let your children burn off excess energy at our TWO children’s play areas.

Delicious homemade cakes, snacks and meals are available in our coffee shop, including a children’s lunch box filled with all their favourites – or if you need something to cool you down, treat yourself and your family to a delicious soft serve ice cream!

Up, Up and Away – Friday 2nd August

Sand & Sea – Friday 16th August

Create your own miniature seaside landscape. Make a backdrop seaside mosaic picture and a self-adhesive foam boat to sail on your sea. Then paint a fun ceramic lighthouse to keep it away from the rocks. All in a box, so it’s easy to carry home.

Mickey & Minnie – Monday 19th August

Join Mickey and Minnie for a fabulous Gordale picnic, with lots of singing, dancing and fun games. Suitable from 18 months.

Love unicorns and dragons?

Design your garden in a box – Friday 23rd August

Fun Science with Professor Bunsen – Wednesday 28th August

There’s lots of fun learning in this science class. Activities include fun with fire, water, smoke and sherbet making.

Beady Beady – Thursday 29th August
