Gordale is a lovely day out for budding ecologists! The environment offers tremendous scope for teachers who want their children to learn more about the natural world, while meeting key stages of the curriculum.
A lovely day out
We welcome school parties of all sizes, tailoring our free walks, talks and demonstrations to meet your education goals. We help create awareness of the living environment and an understanding of how the food we eat is grown, and we offer hands-on sessions in a safe, informative and fun environment, giving children the opportunity to sow a seed and learn about plants, flowers and mini beasts.
Our paths and walkways are suitable for the less able and wheelchairs are available from reception, on request.
Book your school visit
There isn’t a charge for the visit or the lesson but we ask that you please book at least four weeks in advance – availability in April and May is limited. Our sessions last approximately one hour, though groups are welcome to use and explore our facilities after the sessions.
To enquire or book please call Jonathan Briers on 0151 336 2116.
