Hundreds of children ( and their parents ) had a great time taking part in our Easter Trail, following a series of clues around the Gordale to discover the hidden word. Everybody taking part received a Lindt Chocolate Bunny but those who solved all the clues correctly were put into a draw for even more exciting Lindt chocolate goodies.

Our 3 winners for the 2012 Gordale Easter Trail were:

NEW FOR 2012. A delightful pink clematis which HRH The Countess of Wessex has kindly agreed to be named after her. Compact habit and very free flowering. 6 very pale pink sepals have deeper central bar and frilly edges with deep red contrasting anthers. Ideal plant for shady part of garden - its delicate pale colour will brighten a shady north-facing wall.

Customers coming to the Spring Open Evening last night were greeted with a glass of crisp rose wine and delicious nibbles made by the Gordale coffee shop team. Lots of special events were in place to make their visit even more special. TV chef Billy Walker demonstrated for over 3 hours on the Outdoor Chef barbecue cooking everything from 'Crispy Crackling Roast Pork' to 'Moist Chocolate Cake with Blueberry Chocolate Sauce'.

Gordale are offering the FREE use of their marquee during August.

The marquee, with chairs and trestle tables, will be sited on the grassed area at Gordale. It is available from 2-4pm, Monday to Friday, and is available for adult organisations only.
